The recipients of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art were announced on June 7, 2017.

We are happy to inform that the General Director of the State Hermitage and Chairman of the EUSP Board of Trustees Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky has been awarded the State Prize for his contribution to the preservation of national and world cultural heritage.

We sincerely congratulate Mikhail Piotrovsky on the recognition of his achievements. We would also like to thank him for his priceless work and genuine friendship.

The formal presentation ceremony for the State Prize will be held in the Grand Kremlin Palace on Russia Day on June 12, 2017.

The State Prize of the Russian Federation is a state honorary prize established in 1992 as the successor for the USSR State Prize. It is the highest form of recognition of merits in science and culture in Russia. Laureates receive medals with a certificate as well as money rewards.
