Katherine Bennett (ENERPO 2014)

International programs

My studies at the European University at St. Petersburg as an ENERPO student gave me a truly global view of energy issues. I feel confident in my abilities to analyze any energy topic and produce thoughtful, intelligent reports. ENERPO prepared me for a career in the energy field and my background at EUSP has given me the tools and analytical skills needed for my career in energy regulation. I am grateful for my time at EUSP, it was essential for my career path and my personal growth.

I currently work for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) as a Program Officer in the International Department. I manage the Mexico Electricity Regulatory Partnership. My role is focused on bringing U.S. State Commissions to share their perspectives and expertise with the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission as the sector advances under Energy Reform. Our project benefits the Mexican regulators, as they develop their regulatory standards and also foster a spirit of international cooperation that is rewarding for the global energy community.
