International programs

In 2010, I spent a semester at the EUSP as part of the Undergraduate Study Semester Abroad (USSR) programme. EUSP came highly recommended by my home university's professor, and it turned out that he had not been exaggerating. Most importantly, the level of teaching at EUSPb is very high, even undergrad classes are taught by faculty who are top experts in their respective fields. The courses I took were very well-structured, covering Russian media, culture, and politics in all their breadth, without compromising on depth. The faculty-student ratio is excellent and classes are taught in an interactive seminar style, encouraging lots of debate among the students.

During my relatively short time at EUSP, I felt like my understanding of Russia increased exponentially. The international student body is a huge bonus, I met many interesting people from all over the world who shared my interest in Russia and in Saint Petersburg jazz clubs. This city is amazing and has so much to offer, in terms of art, music, food, and nightlife. I had the time of my life in Saint Petersburg! Studying at EUSP made me fall in love with the university and the city that it is such an integral part of.
