Letter of support for EUSP
Russia is one of the countries that has always had the reputation of having some of the highest qualified intellectuals across the world. Without doubt, one of the main reasons for this is that the Russian government was always fully supporting its thinkers, intellectuals and researchers. A continuous and clear support is certainly also one of the prerequisites for a successful future of Russia's social and human sciences.
The European University is, without doubt, one of the top institutes of higher education in social and human sciences in Russia. I have had myself already several opportunities to be in EUSP during the past years and to work and discuss with these elite Russian researchers that are working there.
I believe that any problems with EUSP of a regulatory compliance nature should be cooperatively resolved by the parties involved, certainly in a professional and routine manner. Stopping the educational and research activities would be a mistake. I do hope that our colleagues in the EUSP will continue to be able to teach and undertake research for the benefit of Russia and beyond.
