It is with regret that we announce the death of Viktor Moiseevich Paneyakh, Doctor of Science in History, Professor of the European University at St. Petersburg, and Chief Researcher at Saint Petersburg Institute of History of Russian Academy of Sciences.
Professor Paneyakh was the founding dean of the EUSP History Department. The first teaching program developed under his guidance laid the grounds of the department’s subsequent development.
Our deepest condolences to Viktor Paneyakh’s family and to his loved ones, his colleagues, his students, and to those who knew him.
